How to arrive at Petroio:
From the A1 Highway (Autostrada del Sole)
Arriving from the South (ex. from Rome)
EXIT at the Uscita: VAL DI CHIANA/SINALUNGA/SIENA
Proceed in the direction of SIENA
Continue on this road for about 50 kilometers (KM) until you reach SIENA
Here take the Tangenziale (Circular road around Siena) FIRENZE/GROSSETO
In the direction towards FIRENZE (Florence)
EXIT at SIENA NORD
From the A1 Highway (Autostrada del Sole)
Arriving from the North (ex. From Milano)
EXIT at the Uscita: FIRENZE IMPRUNETA (ex Certosa)
Take the Superstrada on the right FIRENZE/SIENA (Superstrada del Palio)
Proceed in the direction for SIENA
Continue on the Superstrada for 57 KM
EXIT at SIENA NORD
AT THE EXIT SIENA NORD at the top of the Exit Ramp and to the left
Follow the signs for CASTELLINA IN CHIANTI SS 222 (Chiantigiana Road)
Follow the signs (through 3 roundabouts) in direction CASTELLINA IN CHANTI
for about 6 KM until you reach the sign for QUERCEGROSSA
Continue on after the sign for a short distance (0.6 KM) and take the 1st road on the right next to the church VIA DI PETROIO/CAMPI SPORTIVI/VAGLIAGLI
Continue on this road for about 2 KM till you see, on the right on a large granite stone, PETROIO
Turn right into the cypress lined drive and continue to the end where you will find
Villa Petroio and you have arrived.
